Rhoenoak - Maruga

The Maruga are a horde of creatures in Rhoenoak that are always up to no good. These nasty monsters are largely responsible for the immeasurable amount of blood that has soaked into the ground on Hethrim. They are extremely aggressive and appear to have no regard for any and all forms of life as they have nearly pushed many species into extinction, including the human race. 

Physical description on the Maruga (Mah-roo-gah): An amorphous being of unknown origin and species. These dark creatures have a black, wispy aura that can be seen outlining their entire body, which usually takes on a humanoid form despite their amorphous characteristics. They stand roughly 5 feet tall and are typically seen slouching slightly forward. Upon each Maruga's face are a distinct pair of glowing red eyes with an eerie white pupil that glows brightly in the center. In many instances, the Maruga have been seen portraying a wicked grin upon their face, displaying a menacing glare with their eyes while doing so. Areas void of light are seen as potentially dangerous for Maruga have been known to lurk in the shadows. Maruga wield tremendous strength and appear to be heavily resilient to most methods of assault. The Maruga are viewed as creatures to be avoided at all cost.
